My Routes - Peak DistrictKinder Scout – Shorter Route
One of my favourite walks in the Peak District, walking up on to Kinder Scout. This shorter version of the Kinder walk I do walks alongside the southern edge of Kinder. It can be walked either ascending via Jacobs Ladder and descending via Grindsbrook Clough, or the other way around. Whichever way you choose this is a great walk! Although I've graded this walk as hard, the only hard-ish part is the ascent on to Kinder Scout. The same applies whether you ascend via Jacobs Ladder or Grindsbrook Clough, they are both steep ascents.
